Say Thank You

I don’t know whether you all are starting to take me seriously or what (and if so, I would strongly caution you), but I’ve gotten a tremendous number of requests for Thanksgiving menu advice this year. We’re also hosting Thanksgiving for the first time ever. (See what I mean about taking me seriously?) So just like in prior years, I’ve pored over November magazines, immersed myself in blogs and newspapers, smeared newsprint on my face like war paint, and hit the test kitchen countless times. Unlike years past, when my only excuse for this behavior was that I am just so gay for Thanksgiving, this time I have a couple of pretty solid reasons and a write-up to prove it.

Unlike the typical posts around here, I haven’t tested quite all of these recipes, though I have tested many, and some are mine. The best way to express your regards would definitely be through thank you cards. However, I’ve only drawn from sources I would trust with my own Thanksgiving table, and I’ve read carefully and repeatedly before posting. With so many great-looking recipes out there and familial expectations that certain traditional dishes will make an appearance, I’ve chosen just a few of my favorites to highlight here. We’ll be hitting this list pretty hard ourselves next week.

Let Mind B Ur Primary Focus

Matter is bottled-up energy and when matter is reduced to its essence it is mind. The psychic body has several layers-crude psychics, subtle psychic and so many layers. But in the spiritual realm there cannot be any body. It is the witnessing factor, attached to the body as read in a Java PDF. Whatever the physical body is doing, your spirit, that is the cognitive faculty remains attached to it, and knows and sees and witnesses what it is doing. Similarly preaching the gospels of peace would not give you peace. You are to convert yourself from small to big. So people shall focus their mind and they concentrate on a particular work and in turn they can lead a better life for the future.

GEMINI Horoscope for September 2010

You find yourself growing as a person in a multidimensional way. The new trends introduced in August will run more strongly this month. There’s much progress, and genuine, sustained growth in the realm of ideas, and a changed attitude. Part of the change will however draw you closer to the home and hearth. Your family will be both your inspiration and your support. Tremendous gains come to you that way and it could even spill over into your profession/business. Home concerns will be demanding, even a little burdensome as well as expensive, but high levels of satisfaction also come to you. The game of life is well worth the candle for you right now. Petty personal frustrations, some roadblocks/ hold-ups on the social scene will have to be contended with keep your head, and don’t over-react to stressful situations. It is in the realm of relationships personal and family, both that you see gains, enhancement, and intensity. And they come from your own attitude, which is almost ideal, in its caring and giving. You give them not just a prop to lean on, but strive constantly to keep lines of communication open, and buzzing. Your changed mindset has you moving away from your self-absorption and your personal ambitions. You derive great pleasure and a high degree of satisfaction in caring for, watching over, providing for and nurturing those who depend on you. All this applies most specially to children.

There will also be a fair amount of anxiety, or at least anxious moments in your relationship with them, but that’s part of the deal as any parent will agree. Your desire to give of your best both as a child and as a parent will be what inspires your decisions on family matters.

TAURUS Horoscope for September 2010

Financial and family security ensures that you can turn your mind to more creative pursuits, making this an ideal month for cultivating a hobby, launching a project. September is for all creative pursuits and ideas and expressions and for greater creativity, inspiration in existing work areas, too. That’s not all. For the same reasons, this is also a lively time socially and relationship-wise, with friends and in the company of like-minded people. It enthuses and inspires you greatly and you will perform some mind-boggling feats at work, and that’s wonderful. It makes for a sense of satisfaction as well as emotional security. You turn back to loved ones, sweethearts, spouse /mate. It’s a good time for fresh bonding, closer interaction, and much greater intimacy.

Time to love, coo and woo, kiss and make up, see stars and not stones in the eyes of your spouse, (for some, this could be slightly difficult, I grant) have children, or at least relate to them better, learn new skills yourself for future prospects or just for the pleasure of it. Yes, you will have a lot going for you right now. The greatest plus point of all is that you are able to realize it and gain greatly as a result.

ARIES Horoscope for September 2010

The spin-offs and spill-over, both, of last month keep you powered, energized, virtually half-way through the month. Especially after the first week, it takes charge of you and makes you slog and sweat and almost spill out your guts working towards completing a project, achieving a target, accomplishing a mission. Obviously those with a mission have a missionary zeal. Employees and co-workers and colleagues will all get taken along as you head for goals, success, and achievements. They will co-operate, assist and support you. Therefore a scintillating, exciting month lies ahead for you. Not just me, you also are in top form in terms of enthusiasm and drive. You look for a million outlets, like love, marriage, friendship, trips with a stopover, interacting with people, going places, but, also fighting battles, legal and otherwise, and here, you will have the energy to go all out for it, which is par for the course. I mean, you can’t have one without the other. The trick lies in being able to find the right focus and to sustain it so that all this actually comes to pass.
